Downpipes

Another option is to get the original downpipes and knock the cat material out of them. There are no issues with installation as there are on other replacement downpipes on the market and can be a cheap option, offering similar performance.

Check to make sure they are RHD as LHD ones don’t fit..

As long as you take it for a spirited drive beforehand it will pass the MoT. The secondary cats do a good job by themselves
If you fit downpipes you don’t take them out for the MoT 😲 it is a PITA to fit them!

Ah ok was thinking of getting the secondaries gone too lol

It’s the primary’s that are restrictive, the secondary’s aren’t that bad

Sweet. I’ll consider keeping the secondaries I think then…will keep it from being mega noisey i guess

I know in the states we have a lot of options from ranging from just a couple hundred dollars to a set with High flow cats that run for about $1500 ... As mentioned they may not fit the right hand drive.. Those super sprints (Linked above) are retailing at $2800 USD - Ouch!

All that aside, you might also want to verify the O2 Sensor bung locations in reference to the stock locations .... some Aftermarket units relocate the sensors making them more difficult to install and service the O2 sensors.

Having asked around doesn’t seem like there are any available for RHD hmmmm bugger, unless anyone knows of any off the shelf ones at sub £400, otherwise might have to resort to gutting the originals…
