LOL, it's not on the "fixtures and fittings" list, although I was considering making an offer for it if there's any money left after my purchase of "Z4 bonnet with horse on it" :rofl:
 
My vote is for a 'twosome'... :rofl: :rofl:

I'd keep them as is & spend the money on something else for the Z...
 
just seen your pics now , how about by folding doors, 2 fold two the left and two fold to the right lose the centre pillar, you may find its one long lintel anyway. This way you can open just one side for privacy. £ 3000 sounds very expensive just putting a lintel in shouldn't cost more than £600 or so .( £200 for lintel approx ,2 blokes days labour) and i'm sure you could get a local carpenter to make you the doors for £1500 so i recon £2000 or there abouts.
Times are hard out there shop around. :thumbsup:

when I buit a garage some years ago I specified it had two doors and I had about 2 feet between them . It gives much easier access because you can drive straight in as opposed to squeezing through on an angle. You need a bigger garage to do it but it's way better IMO. It costs a bit more because two openers and hardware sets are required but it's easier on everything (except the pocketbook).
 
If I had that garage I wouldn't even think about it, I would swap straight away for one door, so I could park in the middle, shut the door in the rain and spend all day polishing and waxing the Z...... stuff the rest of the house.

I want a double garage with 1 door, and I wouldn't even care much about the house attached to it.
That's a garage for someone who doesn't bother about their cars but just wants to avoid defrosting, or just wants to store junk.
 
yeah, but with a big double with two doors you can polish two cars at the same time.... :poke: :poke: :rofl:
 
LOL, nice idea mcbee but one option I don't have is to change the size of the garage, only the doors :)

Look's like very little centre section between doors, so an easy conversion I would say :)
 
Why do they build garages so small ... Doubt the Merc would even fit in there :o

Our standard size garages are too small to put a normal pickup in if you have anything at all in the garage , such as a narrow storage unit or a set of stairs to the house. It's foolish but as most people just store kids bikes and junk in them they don't care. They put worthless items inside and put the $100k worth of vehicles outside in the sun and the cold... I don't but i'm a minority in this case. My last house that I had built had the garage extended and widened to the limits of my lot, a real money maker for the builder BTW.. a great garage :thumbsup: extra cost :thumbsdown:

Who puts an office in a garage????
 
My double garage is 7 meters wide, the door is made in Germany and is 6.5 metres wide (they don't make that size in the UK apparantly).

The extra costs in bricks is next to nothing to get the size you "need" ...
 
Ok, seeing as we're 'willy waving' :) 10.6m and each door is 2.6m wide
