Double DIN adaptor?

I assume, based on my fruitless search, that there's nothing available off-the-shelf to slot a double DIN unit into a Z4? Have I missed anything?

If not, I think I might see about getting a quote to 3D-print one with fixed vents either side of the head unit hole. Has anyone tried anything similar?
 
newp. but i'm looking to fit a non-headunit tape player in rear centre console if you've come accross anything on your searches....?

I'd be interested in a printed one for sure. Keep us updated as to costs etc. If it could look stock and fit perfect ( as it should beibg custom printed ) I'd be in the market for a nice double din screen/nav player
 
i'd happily buy one but yeah there's nothing available off the shelf, one of the huge downsides to this car was giving up the doubledin appradio i had in the previous car.

i've a slide out motorised screen effort but would prefer the doubledin one back tbh
 
I've seen a few people have made but there's nothing off the shelf. Two tasteful side vents would be a must in my mind.

I have access to (people with) the 3D design and printing kit, but no car to base my dims on. It's probably going to be one of the first things I do with mine, as I desperately want to install an Android unit. I might try to get a ballpark for costs, but won't be able to do anything more accurate until I've got a car in front of me.
