Door sound deadening

I have looked at a few threads(see below if interested) regarding sound deadening and it looks like something I may do to improve the sound of the doors closing. A few questions though:
1. Is there any need to line the door cards, or will the bare metal pieces be sufficient to dampen the sound.
2.will this http://www.deadening.co.uk/products/silent-coat-2mm-mat-door-pack be enough to do both driver and passenger door.

There are thereads on here about doing it.

I did the exercise a few years ago and it made a massive difference. Chose the bitumen type product with foil backing. Cut it in strips to feed in to the cavities and got it onto the inside of all the door panel. Didn't bother with the inside of the doorcards.

Make sure you refit the membrane inside the door card correctly and fully else you'll 100% guaranteed get water leaks
 
I'll have more of a look. Where can I find the bitumen panels and how are they different from the one I posted that another member has used?

They could well be the same. I just went to a local audio specialist and purchased a load of the stuff based upon recommendation of those who know such stuff.
 
I have Used Dynamat Extreme and Vibe stuff in previous installs to great effect, ebay is the cheapest place to get it. Ash
