Door not in line-reason for leak? PIC

Hi all-I noticed this tonight-could this be the reason I have a leak?-it obviously needs the door catch moving in, but would this cause the leak by not compressing the seal enough?-thanks

Do you get a lot of wind noise when driving Andy, as I would expect this as well if the door wasn't compressing the seal enough.

I have never noticed to be honest mate, usually have music on. :oops:
 
I think they are all like that. Mine is at the bottom edge and so are others i've seen on the road.

You can always adjust the hanger but do it 1mm at a time up, inwards until the seals are level on the door.
Worth sketching around it so you can put back to where it was.

Thanks :) - so you reckon its not the reason for the leak I have, if others are the same?
 
Can you upload a picture of where you window sits on the seal?
When I replaced my door I hadn't even thought about the adjustments and just bolted it together. Then I washed the car and there was a nice big puddle inside. Took it back apart and only then did I notice that there are quite a few adjustment options for the window. You could adjust the door catch on the door until the door looks right and then adjust the window to suit. Are you aware of any work that's been carried out on that door?
Perhaps some of the bolts have rattled loose?

I could put a pic up tomorrow in better light, no work done on door I my ownership(my fourth year)-only just nicely discovered this :roll:
 
The window can be moved on the horizontal plane (e.g. towards or away from the wing mirror) and it can also be adjusted angularly on a vertical axis (eg it can be forced towards the seal at the top). The latter is easier as the door card doesn't need to be removed.

Thanks gain-I posted this pic yesterday and when I separate slightly the rubber from plastic water 'squelches' out.

How do you do that then?
