door lock pin question

Anyone know how the plastic pins that go up and down in the door card door looks come off ???

Thought that also but cant seem to even get them to move, i had a 2004 Mini Copper and they are stuck on with glue, you have to litraly break them off and remove the door cards to do it.

Dont really want to have to take the door card off to do this, if i do i will leave it, only really changing the pins as there driving me mad rattling :evil:
 
just unscrew and pull off.

Dont lock door otherwise the mechanism gets stuck under card! I trapped myself in luckily it was a roadster, i just stepped out looking a foo. Mechanism had to be fished out with long nose pliers.

Have still not got around to tackling this, but as you will see the advice is that it's the rod tht rattles, not the pin.

I'd appreciate you posting how you get on as mine seemed to get better but is now driving me absolutely mad!
