Door lock mechanism's pin rattling

Hello,

I'm trying to get rid of all annyoing rattling inside my car (so probably there will be lot of threads like "_____ rattling" :) ). First that I found is door lock mechanism's pin. There is a lot of loosness between pin and hole that it is inside and on bumpy roads or when I listen to music with many bass it starts to rattle. Wrapping it with electrical tape solves the problem, but it is just workaround, not the solution. Anyone had a problem like that? I found one thread on forum, but it ended with "go to dealer" as user had car under warranty.

I had a bad rattle from my drivers door and found it was the side impact bar was loose, open the door fully and look behind the wire loom that goes from the body to the door. Behind the loom you will see a plastic cap, remove this and see if the bolt is tight. Mine was loose.
Worth looking at before you take the door apart

Ok, found out idea how to do this, I will spray some liquid gum or tape some electrical tape into pin housing (may be tricky to do this) so it will look the same but rattle should stop.

But I need answer for this question: how to remove pin housing? Do I need to take off the door panel or I can just leverage the pin with some plastic tool? (like on picture - sorry for this mspaint graphics ;)) I don't know it is mounted anyhow (with screw, tape, glue or anything) or it is just pushed into door panel.

Use a trim removal tool but yes it pulls out.

Mine does this too and I wrapped it in the fluffy side of Velcro.

Bare in mind if the metal part behind the door is not hooked onto the clip it will still rattle and the bit you want to pour gum into is hollow so slightly fruitless.

Best taking the door panel off and sorting that way otherwise you will make a mess and wish you never bothered

Ok, thanks :)

But how can I make a mess when I just leverege this pin housing, tape it inside with Velcro and push it back without removing door panel?

I figured out this idea with tape/Velcro/liquid gum because when I tape the pin with electrical tape it doesn't rattle, so it looks that loose pin is only thing that causes that rattling.

So it's not caused by that the pin is too small, but by something else? Ofc I want to repair reason of the problem, not only the effect :) I bought used car, so I don't know if it's rattling since always. I don't see any clip here https://youtu.be/Djgcv-VpCW8?t=285
