Door lock doesn't work.

Basically, messed around with it once when I had a lock cover on it and I heard something drop into the inner door panel. Ever since then, the lock barrel just spins, so I am unable to unlock the car using it.

Fine, until the key battery decided to die, leaving me stranded and unable to get in the car.

Does anyone know whether part number 21 in the link below is the part I need? It certainly looks like it would do the job of holding the lock barrel is place.

Also how to change this as access looks terrible.

Hi,

You can remove the door handle fairly easy, there's some good info. On this forum ...once out it should be simple enough, did a search and found it but can't add the link as my tablet not doing what it's supposed to do
