Door Lock barrel issues!

Anyone following my recent threads will have seen that I have replaced my drivers door. The last part of the job involves changing the lock barrels over.

I have got the lock out of my old door, easily with zero issues. However, I cannot get the lock barrel off the donor door. I've removed the grub screw, inserted a key halfway and turned clockwise. and it won't budge. I've tried pliers, a screwdriver etc. The lock is turning round and round (it seems a small pin fell out of it) so I am trying to grab the surround of the lock with pliers, there is a little side-to-side movement, but something is stopping it.

Any ideas?

Well, I've sorted it, it seems that the lock had fallen apart and the lock pins had jammed between the cylinder and the plastic. Brute force got it out in the end.

The problem I have now, I can't get the outside handle to work. I am refitting it, but it doesn't appear to do anything once in place. To be fair I am trying it without sliding the plate back, just holding the handle in place, but can't see how that would make a difference.

Is there a procedure I need to follow to refit the handle?

Well the handle works if the door is only closed on the first clock (not fully latched) but wont open the door if it's fully closed. And it was fine before I changed the lock barrel. No idea what to try next...
