Decided to finally tackle passenger electric mirror intermittent not unfolding problem and tinny door close sound, hopefully just a good clean and relube and sound deadening should sort it, .Anyone else had this same problem? bit the bullet and bought new drivers side sound insulation and chrome line door pull trim from Hubaur-shop for good prices.

I’ve only just got it back on the road after fitting new battery so can’t tell you for sure the door feels and sounds more solid when you shut it and I think the facelift e85/86 has this as standard, the door card inside is a mod I saw on bavsound YouTube channel which I did because I have a lot of sound deadening left over and it certainly won’t do any harm.
