Door leak

I’m really not loving this car anymore but can’t buy a new one yet. I have a small leak into the drivers footwell which appears to be coming in just at the front edge of the door when shut. It’s sort of weird cos it doesn’t happen all the time and it’s a tiny amount. I’m assuming it’s maybe the plastic bag cover thing behind the door card as rain comes down the window inside the door? Any ideas?

I would certainly be checking door membrane first.
 
Check the membrane.

Replace it if required. They'll be cheap.

You''ll also require some butyl tape.

Also check the window regulator. If it's making any noises when the window is going up or down it'll probably be failing. There's a kit on the eBay for about £30 to fix it.
 
It might be that the door membrane isn't sitting flush or has a hole in it.

You might be lucky and it just needs stuck down.
