Door internals clatter when closing?

How much does your door rattle (or the glass / internals) upon closing?

I appreciate there is less support for the glass as there is no frame, but I'm surprised at the amount of clatter when shutting the door.
The drivers door seems worse than the passenger side. Is it worth having a look under the door panel to see if anything can be tightened / renewed.

Thanks for any thoughts

What year as the earlier models sounded like a tin can when closing? Later they sound proofed.

There is not much inside to ratte but the trim is easy enough to remove to look inside if you know the sequene and are careful

I suggest remove the trim and fasten a few pieces of sound deadener on the inner skin face of the doors, worked a treat on mine

Thanks cj,
I'll give it a shot. I could do with investigating a small window squeek anyhow.

Still working on the headlight project BTW. I'm still umming and ahhring over the audi style led's. The biggest concern is that once any LED's are in place they won't be accessible again without splitting the unit apart again. I could do with your advice on what sealant you used to reseal the unit as well. Thanks.
