Door handle won't open the door

Or you could clean the latch mechanism, remove all of the gunk and grease that has caused it to seize, and then enjoy a working door handle again without any hassle.

With the door open, look at the latch. Clean it up thoroughly using degreaser, penetrating fluid and give a good scrub with a toothbrush or similar. Usually this solves such issues.

I had the same problem on mine before I sold it. I never got it fixed but it looked like the latch on mine broke. The cable didn't move when I pulled the cable. Iirc I think I saw the latch moving but not connected to the cable.

I have exactly the same thing, if it’s really hot and sunny I have to open the car from the inside but as soon as it cools down it repairs itself! It is embarrassing though, I try to get away with it by looking like I'm putting my bag on the passenger seat and leaning over to subtly opening the drivers door…!
I thought I was the only one that did the bag thing. I used to try to leave class as quickly as I could and speed walk so I could get in before all the other students got to their cars and saw me. And if I was too slow I waited till everyone left

Help!!!! looking for 2003/2004 BMW Z4 left side drivers side door window glass, i will arrange shipping to Nigeria, i formed one with plexiglass but its not effective, pls help somebody!! anybody!!!.

Eh, the above is a bad solution IMO. I was led down that path of trying to rig something up and after an hour of trying to figure it out and 20 minutes of testing, it failed. I am surprised I searched the internet for an hour or two and did not find anything about the teeth wearing out, which is the actual problem.
