Further to my previous post about my drivers door unlocking problem I'm thinking that I may have to destroy the door card to get to the lock but not having much luck online getting prices for a new card. All suggestions very welcome ---please. :)
 
I've not removed a Z4 door card but you shouldn't need to destroy it if you can find the clips - many on here have swapped them. Sure someone will calrify.
 
There is a door card removal guide on here somewhere....

Iirc all the bolts are on the front face ( hidden) so you should be able to access them.

with some work you might then be able to ease off the bottom and side.

If not they do come up quite often in scrap yards or sold with m sport seats.
 
Link here - about something different, but with a link to a bimmerfest thread. The three torx screws holding the card on are behind the plastic airbag symbol, the grab handle cover and the round cover behind the inside door handle. You need to give the top a lot of grunt to get off, and make sure you remove the tweeter first else you will break the clips that hold it in, like I did :cry:
