Don't tell my wife ..... lol

Top motor! A mate of mine has got the 3 litre in BRG and it's a lovely car. Feels like 50 when you are going 90 and rides better than my friends S class of a similar era.

Put 500 miles on over the weekend ...... Pleasantly surprised.
Always expect to have to spend a bit more cash fixing an old motor, but this is really mint, everything works and it drives like a errrrrrrrrrrr Jag :D

Did you actually tell her the real price or did you round it down like "they" do with shoes etc :D

She's computer savvy ....... once she knew she was all over the ad like a rash ....... :D
Her personal favourite when discussing new shoes is ...... "oh those old things ...... I've had them for ages ......" even when it was me that opened the door for the postie and signed for them the day before ......

Yes, the one day old shoes are old, but if you want a new car then your car is described as "you only just got it" :)

this was on the list too... Why do you need a Jag then? :poke:

Whenever I buy an old car like this, in the first few days I'm ready with a list to make of all the things that need fixing ..... along with
a couple of grand ......... Just drove this beast from Edinburgh to Trondheim ...... off the boat in Rotterdam, 1857 kms (1160 miles)
from Rotterdam to Trondheim in a oner, including a 6 hour charge through Germany ......... haven't found a single thing that's wrong
or something that doesn't work. Well pleased here ......

Nice one. Good to see you where taking it easy.

So what was the fuel bill for the trip?

Car managed 31.8 mpg .... over the whole trip according to the dash thingy ......
was 27.7 mpg during the Germany bit ..........

Total cost of fuel for the whole trip ... Im guessing it was around 300 quid from Edinburgh ......
I didn't bother keeping all the receipts .......

Good work!

Was clearly a stonking purchase then given it's economical, comfy and nothing needs fixing!
