Looks like it hit a lamp post/tree! Hit the wrong immovable object and doing anything over the speed limit wouldn't matter! You could do that damage at 30mph! Don't forget the front end is designed to crumple!
Photos like that can make you think "don't drive" never mind speed!

not sure it's "don't speed"... prob more likely to be "don't drive like a complete tosser"

Well put, like clarkson said, "Speed has never killed anyone. Suddenly becoming stationary, that’s what gets you"

Honestly though the people i worry about the most on the road are timid, nervous drivers who in the event of an emergency will freeze up and not know what to do. These people clog our roads trying to merge while wetting themselves and wishing they hadn't got out of bed that morning. At many times I find myself driving "spirited" or a little beyond the legal limits (or even like a maniac) on public roads and after many many thousands of miles and years Ive driven in my life the only accident I've ever been in was when someone rear ended me..

Driving appropriate to the conditions is fine by me, I'm usually one of the fastest in the dry and one of the slowest in the wet. Most people just seem to have one speed, whatever the circumstances.

Sure, speeding can cause serious accidents. Look at germany, when they have an accident on the autobahn its usually catastrophic. However, that being said, they have many fewer accidents than us, and the reason is that their drivers are educated and drive like they're supposed to. Driver there for a week and you'll never want to drive in the US again, very orderly, not 3 lanes wide with everyone going the same speed :headbang:

a little claybar on that baby and she's good as new :D :D I hope no one was seriously injured

What he said times infinity. Thats half the reason I want to go back to Germany.

I have never been to Germany, but it is a fact they all drive side by side at the same speed three lanes wide, while up in front of them is open road. Errrrrrr :headbang: :headbang:

I'm confused by your statement.
You've never been there, but you are stating facts about how people drive in Germany?
How does that work? Do you have out-of-body driving experiences?

I have been there. And driving in Germany is a pleasure compared to almost anywhere* here in the USA.

*Texas. On the back country highways, Texans were unfailingly polite and moved over onto the (wide) shoulder to let faster cars go by. Unfailingly. However, on the freeways in the cities, they behaved just like Californians: badly.

I typed a retort to this post too, but on reading it I think he may have been saying it is a fact in the USA that people do it, even though that's not technically what he said... I didnt want to misunderstand, so I removed my post.

My bad. I meant here in the U.S. Sorry for the confusion.

correct me if i am wrong.. but where do find bad drivers in california?? :poke:

i'm comparing the difference between my northern california driving experience to that of south florida and most people that drive their cars in south florida aren't that pleasant compared to the drivers in california.

maybe it's just me though. but california drivers are better (at least those in northern california)

:poke: :fuelfire:
