Don't make this tyre weld mistake....

Had a can of tyre weld sitting behind the battery. Apparently it was a little too tall for the space but I didn't notice until I put something weighty in the boot....

Looks like I'm taking the battery out tomorrow!

Aha, doesn’t look too bad.

Find something to cover the positive terminal of the battery while you’re at it. The spanner-across-the-terminals mistake is messier!

Don't know how easy it will be to clean - but a lot less mess than the power fire extinguisher that I trapped between other stuff in the under seat drawer of one of my classics.

Could've been worse, at least it's all contained, plus the tray will be well lubed! And at least I found it before I needed it.
Took a while to clean it off the little 'tool kit' though, the liquid rubber or whatever it is had dried into the seams.

I had a worse experience, i was attempting to inflate a flat tyre on my smart roadster with this stuff when the top broke off & the contents jettisoned themselves into the lower atmosphere, it all landed on my car of course & proved to be an absolute pig to remove

good solution to plug the drain holes and prevent water ingress which causes water damage that bricks the amp. but you don't have an amp, so it doesn't really matter.

Oddly enough I read this post yesterday... Took the Zed out today and went to get my hat from the boot... humm "I might check my can of tyre weld actually"

Exactly the same bloody thing :lol: :lol: :lol:

Can was stood up and had been compressed by the floor for the boot and discharged itself all over the bottom
