11th commandment:That looks lovely. I have friend who has a beautiful red TR4A which I have always coveted.![]()
I do like a TR6, but don't know why really, as they are not very pretty.I think people are too worried to spend frivolously with this tax budget coming up. Dead right about TR5 never seen them this cheap, gonna hang on to my TR6 for a few years yet
Check on the county map online. It will show if those trees are listed or not.All still in the mix. I have a bit of a 'thing' for 1970s wedge styling. I think the TR7 looks cool, in a 1970s way.
I look at multiple cars everyday, from Spitfires to DB9s and everything in between. I would love a DB7 Volante, but the running costs are just too high. Parts are ridiculously expensive.
I will probably get nothing at present, as garage space is a problem. I do have a plan to build another double garage at the side of the house and turn my front garden into a driveway. Not sure if the Council will like it, though, as it involves removing a few 'precious' trees! Conservation area (God knows why) so I am at their mercy.

Mine was a 1600cc but I think they also made a 2000cc version. Lovely smooth engineI still like them, I was probably looking some years ago when prices were high. My brothers Herald Vitesse had a complete rebuilt, I think they ended up donating it to Coventry Motor Museum. I assume the 6cly is the same as used in the TR6. I just remember it was very smooth.
Tim.
The trees don't have individual TPOs but being in a 'conservation area' they may as well have.Check on the county map online. It will show if those trees are listed or not.
25 years oldโฆI had a great job, twice the salary of my first job, I was on a job grade 50 year old managers dreamed off, two decent bikes.., a tuned Laverda 1200 Mirage and a 1000cc Norman Hyde Trident, a girl friend that bonked liked a demented rabbit on amphetamines, a string of TR7s/8s and a nice 3 bed virtually new semi on a lovely estateโฆit all went downhill from thereโฆBlimey Peter! You're rocking those blue shorts and perm!!![]()
Sadly asking British Leyland to restart the TR5 production line in 1980 wasnโt an option..And yet despite all that none of your TRs was Yellow!
My favourite TR has always been the TR5 as it has the classic looks and the straight 6 engine.
Love you really!I was informed that the OP had made a plea for advice that I was best suited to respond to..
How may I help you?
No, no and thrice no.My choice of 1970s wedge would be an X1/9,
I wasn't suggesting they would, that's why I put my comments in different paragraphs!Sadly asking British Leyland to restart the TR5 production line in 1980 wasnโt an option..
Yes I got thatโฆI wasn't suggesting they would, that's why I put my comments in different paragraphs!![]()
Hairdressers must appreciate a well-balanced mid-engined car with a revvy engine. I suppose thatโs why they like the Boxster. No, no and thrice no.
Fiat is not a brand I could ever get excited about.....ever.
When I was younger the X1/9 was seen as the ultimate 'hairdresser's car'. Those and the SWB Vitara with added balloon wheels and a 'bullbar'. Mmmmm.......classy!
You should try an Abarth 124 Spider, great little Roadster and IMHO alot more interesting than an MX5.No, no and thrice no.

My wifeโs hairdresser is Japanese, I wonder if he drives an MR2Always fancied the X1/9 but ended up with the MK1 MR2.
Tim.
Should do. They are quite 'nippy'.My wifeโs hairdresser is Japanese, I wonder if he drives an MR2
