Anybody else have "One of those days" when you think you may have inadvertently invented a Cloaking Device/ Donned the Mystical Cloak of Invisibility or possibly been transported to a parallel universe.???

When you go out for a specific reason or just for a drive and every goddam numpty insists on pulling out in front of you, cutting you up, drive straight at you causing you to take evasive action when they are overtaking parked vehicles on their side of the road, etc.etc.etc. as though you don't exist and when you do "vent your spleen" at them they behave as though they done nothing wrong or even blame you......

Or is it just me??? :x :x :x
 
Yes I've had that happen, especially when I used to drive to work in Bradford . Used to be glad to get home in one piece some times [emoji53]
 
Nope :(
Leaving work on Fri a car passed a parked car on his side of the road when he should have gave way to me.
I hit the brakes and threw it as far left as I dared
The driver in the other car missed me by inches and then shook his fist at me - probably muttering 'typical bloody BMW drivers' at the same time :)
 
Try riding a large motorbike with a Hi vis jacket and all the lights blazing and you will find out what being invisible is like :P

Ah! yes, know that feeling all too well....have had CBR1000, Fireblade etc. in the past....not any more though too much rugby n 2 knackered knees...thats why I bought the Zed, nearest thing to riding a bike.... :driving:

Worked in Bradford most of my career "ja" there is no where else in the UK like it to drive, other than London. :cry:
 
The danger in Bradford is two fold...you have those that can't drive. or had a family member take the test for them, thus they are incompetent behind the wheel & WILL crash into you.

Secondly you have "Those" that CAN (I use the word can loosely) drive that are deliberately out to crash into you to mug you for compo :evil:
 
Yes absolutely, most days it feels like I'm invisible or have a target painted on me somewhere :(

Hence the requirement to fit a dash cam nowadays.

Bradford just scares me, full stop.
 
Best thing about my current job is I seem to avoid all the numpties and I get to hoon the back roads.

Still get the odd idiot pulling out on roundabouts, which when you are bright red and low continues to amaze me
 
I have not worked out the latest thing that white van drivers do now and that is just not stop coming from a side road. Drive straight on the main road without even slowing down forcing other traffic to evade them.

Driving an X5 with Xenons is not something you can overlook ….
 
Z4s are invisible! Fact!

I rarely drive to work, but when I do, nobody even realises that my car is there!
 
Clip in to spd pedals for the first time!! Everyone stops in front of you!! As for driving and it happening.....I think all the local stagecoach drivers must have got my reg and picture. In an memo explaining I am the devil and driving at or over me! Will save the world and all the sick baby animals!!!

There is a stretch of road near me where this happens a lot, I had a stand off with a bus a couple of years ago, I had the right of way and a bus decides to overtake a line of parked cars right in my path, so I turned engine off and just sat there, bus driver said he could sit there all night, I said so can I. Traffic starts building up behind me and the bus. Cut a long story short, one of the drivers, X number of cars behind me asks me to give way and go over the pavement so every one can get on their way, eventually :evil: I did. Few days later I was talking to an old mate and it happens he started driving for the same bus company and said all buses have video cameras on board and he said to contact the bus company. I got a reply and said they would look at the video evidence, Guess what, No reply. I'm still waiting.

I can't see the point in having to pass a driving test these days because its everyone for themselves, f%%k everyone else, drive as you like.
I could go on and on.
 
Try this combination - difficult Friday traffic, three blokes in a works van sitting behind you with the kind of single cell driving actions going on that are just downright dangerous - wished I'd met them when they weren't in their cloaking device I tell you :evil:
 
Somedays I just forget what my Dad told me the day I passed my test and it's most probably those days I have all the issues......

What he said was "Son now you have passed your test, this is when you start to learn to drive properly and remember one thing, treat everyone else on the road as a complete and utter useless,mindless,self-centred halfwit moron and you will do fine".

Sometimes I just let that slip..... :wink:
 
aha ...... simple error, you must have brushed the invisible button with your left knee, its down there on the coloumn ....... happens to me all the time. :)
