Donington Park Trackday 6th May

Hello all,

Figured I'd bung this up here on the off-chance any members happen to be doing this - javelin trackday and evening at Donington Park on 6th May.

I'll be there for the evening slot to shake the car down with a few friends with zeds and a variety of other cars.

In previous years we've ended up seeing a few z4s around this time at donny - I think there were 5 M coupes on track last year!

Good luck! Evening trackday at donny, just before race season starts... I predict 5 red flags for cars in the gravel...

But if you do get a clear lap, enjoy! Donington is my favourite UK track.

Haha you're probably not wrong, it's been a mixed bag on previous years - some very clear well behaved sessions with minimal red flags, and some.... Not so clear

I do enjoy donny, craners takes some balls to go fast down!

Well that was a great evening! I don't think I improved on my times in any way at all, but it was great banter with friends, and a surprise appearance from Simon 3.2! Great to meet you mate, sorry it was brief, I was overexcited and trying to maximise the time on track between red flags..!!

Was a good session, enjoyed giving my coupe a shake down after a full rebuild, including gearbox. Still not done my geo yet.

Considering not many coupes about there was 4 there and 3 on track.

Good to see Lee . How are things going with BDS development and what would you suggest as the best improvement for the money ?

Shouldn't really discus publicly but safe to say I got most of my money back.

Any photos or footage Ed ?

Yep I'll sling the videos up once I've cocked about getting them off the go pro and pasting them together

Nothing wildly interesting, the geo I've done on the car has made it very very twitchy at the limit so I was struggling to find confidence in the car, especially down craners. Wobbling around around 1m25s so at least 4 secs off my previous best laps last year, but great fun nonetheless!
