It sounds like the best thing to do is run a new wire from the GM5 from an always-on or always-on post the ignition accessory/car on position, so the battery isn't drained dead in case of forgetting to turn map lights off.
If I did run a new wire from the GM5, where would I source it from? And how would I get it up to the dome light area?
Has anyone here successfully done this?
I realize I'm getting greedy with my "new" Z4, but I love working on it and I really enjoying upgrading certain details like the map lights. I would find those to be VERY useful.
