Dolly me nets. (In memory of Victoria Wood.)

OK, I give in. How on Earth do you secure the medieval net device behind the seats? The rod that runs along the bottom won't go into the clips in the bulkhead and the hooks at the ends won't stay in their holes.

Another example of crap German engineering, of which there is much.

The clip each side... Lift hook, push into hole and push down. Repeat for other side.

Base clips.... Force into clip

In a very tenuous link back to your old threads on tyres.................

Are you sure you're applying the correct pressure? :D

Ahhhh...the old table-tennis net. :)

Even if you can get it into the hooks, it will fall back down and look like a pair of Nora Batty's tights in no time. Bloody useless piece of crap IMO.

This is going to be difficult but.... I agree with Pondrew :o

May just be specific pills I'm on, but mine has remained stiff for the 8 years I've owned it.

Are they blue, per chance?

I just bought one of these, as mine was missing. Had to use a rubber mallet to get it into the bulkhead clips.
Not sure the usefulness of it, but seems more complete

Very useful if you get table-tennis playing mice in the car. Keeps them occupied instead of chewing everything.

It was part of the 'extended storage pack', you know. Along with a small net in the passenger footwell (for holding what I have no idea) and two bits of elastic in the boot. Oh, and a little drawer next to the steering wheel which most take years to find.

You have to hook it in upside down, turn it down, then push in the locking trim piece.
Otherwise will just fall out.

Totally unused

and two bits of elastic in the boot.
have used those to help fasten things in place and stop them falling over

Did find it eventually and its a good place for parking meter coins and in my case, pound coins for the golf driving range

Ive tried adding bits of the extended storage option to mine. Love the little cubby next to tge drivers knee, it's my new place for my sunglasses
Did look at getting the boot floor with the straps, but apart from being a bit pricy to buy used, as I have the OE rubber boot liner probably a bit pointless

Would love the passenger footwell net, but have only ever seen one for sale, and it was attached to the full carpet piece, so was far too expensive. New ones, also quite expensive, aren't the same as original so don't look the same.

The net behind the seats does drop down on a regular basis, but stops my ice scraper and ither bits from dropping down behind the seats.

Yep, the by-the-right-knee cubby hole is really useful. It carries my window-breaker* & seatbelt-cutter and a Swiss Army knife. On long journeys, my wallet goes in there, too - well, it is actually a pain in the bum.

Don't do what I did recently, though - get out of the car with the little drop-down door open. It hurts. (Be fair, I've only had the car 7 1/2 years.)

*Have carried one since I found myself in a car, upside down in a narrow ditch, with its doors jammed shut and not enough room to get out of the windows. (Or so I thought. Actually, I managed to crawl out of one of the rear manual ones. That said, if I hadn't, breaking the front or rear would have been the only way out.)

Thanks to advice in the thread so far, so good.

Now the final step ... the bulkhead clips. How, how, how do you get the net into them?

They look just ready to break.

I recently got one of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0C7DB8D8D?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details. It does those things, but also clips over the door latch plate as an aid in getting in and out of a low car when you aren't as flexible as in your prime.
