Dog mess

We went for a lovely walk in a nature reserve last weekend, plenty of new shoots sprouting out on trees and bushes. Bird song and the lapping of water on the banks of the lake. You get the picture....BUT!
We were amazed at the amount of plastic poo bags that littered the nature reserve, some where even hung on tree branches. Why bother picking it up, then throw it on the ground of even in the lake. It amazes me why owners who do this, go to all the bother, why not just leave it on the ground to degrade. :x
I used to be a dog owner and know that there are owners on the forum, so my question to them is, do you pick up your dogie doo doo in a bag. I would hope that most do and then take it to a poo bin or dispose of it in a friendly way.
 
Last set of Mats I binned was from dog dirt. Threw my old trainers and the car mat in some poor buggers bin, in Chipping Norton, last year, after I trod in some and then got in the Zed. :headbang: :thumbsdown:
 
When we take our Labrador for a walk we take a purpose made pooper scooper (it looks a bit like a clam with a plastic bag on it) and deposit the do-do in a bin, but I have also noticed the number of used pooper bags that must have been used and then left or thrown into bushes.

I don't know why people do it. You could argue that if they had left the poop, at least it would degrade down but leaving it in a plastic bag will mean it could still be there in 10 years time!

Baffles me. :cry:
 
As a professional dog trainer and walker this is one of the things that makes my blood boil!!!!
Not picking up after your dog (especially in an area where children play or others walk frequently) is the worst form of ignorant behaviour I can think of....and as for those fuckwits who go to the effort of bagging it up, only to then hang it on a tree for the 's**t fairies' to collect ..... All I can say is why???!!!

Not a week goes by when I don't get into a slamming match with some dog owner who has blithely sauntered past and turned a blind eye while there dog is quite happily squeezing one out. Usual lame excuses include-
'Sorry mate I didn't notice'
'..but there aren't any bins nearby'
' I've come without any poo bags'
'It's not my dog'
Or the all time favourite... 'f**k off and mind your own business'' (that's when the fight usually starts!!)

I always pick up in bags and always put in bins. It is annoying when at places like parks and nature reserves there are few or no bins to put it in though! Fault lies with Councils as they know these places will attract dog owners yet don't want to install and empty bins. Also when they do put doggie bins in they put too few and in the wrong places (where it's easiest and cheapest for them to empty rather than where they will actually be of most benefit). My dog never sh1tes in the car park or at the entrance gate to the access track.
 
Its everywhere.
People pick it up because they are have to and will be fined if caught not doing it and then when theres nobody looking launch it into bushes or somewhere else.
Just heard today that the fine for not picking up is going up. Surely they need to put people on the street to enforce this and also follow up on complaints to try and find offenders?
Litter is much the same, its everywhere. People say they are proud of their country but just ruin it by throwing litter all over the place.
Greyzed, why is it the councils fault that there is not enough bins? They didnt ask you to buy a dog and then take it to parks to s**t everywhere. You have a dog, you know it will need the toilet while out, take your dogs mess home with you.

Glad that your a responsible owner and pickup after your dog.
The nature reserve did have poo bins in the car park area, so no excuse for not putting the mess in them, just lazy tossers who can't be bothered to carry the parcel to the bins. I once walked after a silly bint who allowed her dog to crap near our house without picking it up, I called to her, to alert her that her friend had shat but she went deaf, so i walked behind for a while, calling her a dirty bitch :poke:
 
Its got worse round our way recently as theyve removed all of the poo bins to save money on collection. :headbang:

I would rather people leave it unbagged than bag it and chuck it 200 yards later. ( I do bin mine - well my dogs !)

I would happily shoot anyone who leaves dog s**t or bags laying around, the selfish ignorant fuckwitted bastards. We had a spate of some utter pond scum letting their dog s**t right at the primary school gate in our village a while ago, WTF goes through their jelly brained heads..? This kind of 'f**k it I don't care' attitude would lead me to violence. And bollocks they did'nt realise, bastards. :x
 
Are you seriously taking the piss blaming the councils? If I had a s**t on your drive would it be the councils Fault? FfS

The fault is the owner for not clearing up. End of. If you don't want to pick up your dogs s**t then don't have one. Or don't walk it in the park.
 
Guys, you think that's bad! I walked past a human Tom tit last week on the path in a built up area the size of a baby's arm laying there next to a pair of soiled pants they must have used to wipe their ass with afterwards! I'm not kidding :o flipping unreal... And yes I do pick my dogs poo up and put it in the dog mess bin :thumbsup:
 
I bag and bin BUT I use degradable bags.

I regularly see old people on those motorised chariots, walking dogs. It always made me wonder if they stop the chariot and get off to pick up the poo. My gut feeling has always been that they wouldn't.

I spotted one woman coming down the raid on one recently, when her dog crapped outside someone's house. She drove off without batting an eyelid.....unbelievable!

Was shown it years back and whenever someone mentions "human" poo, it immediately comes to mind. It's the type of thing you can't forget once you've seen it!
 
I completely agree with all the comments above - too many dog owners take their dogs for a walk to 'empty' them as opposed to 'exercise' them.
Fly tipping is another bug bear of mine ..... Don't even get me started on that or I'll have to take the zed out for a drive just to calm down!!!
 
It is just not acceptable for owners not to clean up after their dogs. And putting it in a bag and then hanging the bag on a tree is, as already mentioned, actually worse than doing nothing.
