It's posts like these that make me glad that Mrs Lozzer doesn't bother looking at the forum. Last time she was shown a cute photo of a puppy it ended up living with not long afterwards! :roll:

OK. I'll give you that one... there is a reason for having a coupe rather than a roadster :poke:

Anyway, that's what Mrs Lozzer's car is for!

I'll vouch for labs, had a golden one called bella, she was terrific......I now seem to have...a pug :roll: ..its actually my sisters but spends more time at my house
 
Update: took our time and went to a local dog show as recommended. Really liked a female English Pointer. Did the research and ended up driving to Cornwall to see one. The breeder had a box full of liver / white and orange / white 4 week old puppies. We fell in love with a liver / white bitch and 4 weeks later she came home.....

Thanks for all your advice. She's 11 weeks old now and have started taking her for walks now that she's fully inoculated.
 
We've got Ralph! He's a Nova Scotia duck tolling retriever. He's utterly loyal and makes a fantastic family pet (though he's now a member of the family). One of the best gun dogs i've worked with for a very long time. Plus he's a handsome chap :D

Great choice...

I have had a German shorty pointer and he was fantastic.. That was when i was in my early teens and he went everywhere with me,i was devastated when we lost him.
I then had an English springer spaniel,we got given her as the owner "got a full time job"....... I think the truth was that she really liked digging big holes in the middle of your carpets!.... I would have thought through boredom at being left by the previous owner.. We persevered and she was a brilliant dog in the end.. She had a sroke when she was 14,many tears again!.... :oops:

Since then i have had 2 german shepherd dogs and i absolutley adore the breed. They are challenging and super intelligent,not really a "first dog" though..

Our current dog is a rescue,he was beaten up,kicked and abused and had a bad start to life. We got him at 1yr old and now had him just over a year,he has a lot of issues and he is currently getting better as the months go by... He is a bugger,but we love him!..
