Dog in a Coupe?

My Jack Russell loves going out on the passenger seat on my Roadster, she sticks her nose out and does a fairly decent "Jeremy Clarkson in an Aerial Atom" impression 
didn't think the roof would add any structural strength to the chassis... don't think it would matter much. but thats mostly a guess.
I have a Staffie and she has been for a few rides in the passenger seat, lucky I have the leather z arm rest to keep her off my side/lap.
( by a few rides I mean trips to vet when the missus is out etc, not a regular thing :roll

Good excuse to see some dogs however. I'm really after a convertible that has room for a dog in the back. The Z4 is out.

I too have a jack russell who loves riding in the car with the roof down.If just me he sits in the passenger footwell, if my wife is with me, he sits on her lap. If the roof's up or the hardtop on in winter, he sits on the passenger seat as he likes to see where he's going. Ben, get a small dog, you'll be fine.Alternatively, get a Merc SL or a Jag XK, they have small rear seats.

I do like the idea of the 135 but it is probably a bit expensive. I have noticed that a TVR Griff has a back shelf!

Are you using a seat cover, or is Goldie resting directly on the factory leather seat bottom? I'm afraid to let my dog ride on the seat without a cover, due to punctures and scratches. He's too big to ride on the floorboard; I did that once, but he was not happy, and it was only for a short trip.
yeah, my mutt like going in the passenger seat when the roof is down. Get a good seat protector though
