Does this ICE/BlueTooth product exist?

Is there a product that can be fitted to 'pair' via Bluetooth and play music that inticrates with the BMW Head unit?

I have a 2007 Z4,
with the BMW BUSINESS Head Unit,
& PARROT CK3000 EVOLUTION (in glovebox) integrated with the multination steering wheel,
I also have a Apple iPhone 5.

Would a better PARROT product work,
Can it be integrated with the head unit and multination steering wheel?
And can it be hidden in the Glove box as my current parrot devices is?

Has anyone done similar?

When you say integrated with the headunit, what do you mean?

Parrot's have mfsw control via the Unika kit (little bit hit and miss from personal experience)

If you're after streaming, you might want to look into their mki range.

All the aftermarket units will sit in between your stereo and speakers (via the SOT lead), this essentially will mute the factory radio and allow the kit to take over via its built in amplifier.

Obviously sound quality is somewhat compromised here, but many people are quite happy with it.

You could also go down the route of fitting a bluetooth kit before your headunit and connect it via the auxiliary in, but then you'd have to change input yourself (if you were listening to the radio and had a phone call come in)

another option would be the dension/dice kit, but from personal experience, navigating to find the right song can be tiresome.

edit: probably the best option in terms of sound quality (but not aesthetics) would be to swap the stereo for an aftermarket one from alpine/pioneer.

Does it have to be instead of, could it be as well as? With an Apple iPhone, you could use an Intravee and route the connection into the glove box. Hidden away, gets charged up, you get music through the intravee and phone through the parrot?

I use the Parrot Evolution Bluetooth with a Connects2 harness, which fully integrates it with the MFSW controls. I also have a Mediabridge 1500 connected to the CD changer wiring, and a SpecDock dashtray mount for my iphone 4S. The Parrot phonebook and voice controls are deactivated, as the iphone does it all much better. With this configuration the 'speak' button on the steering wheel goes straight to Siri for voice control of contacts, voice to text, phone, music, navigation, etc.

The Mediabridge does A2DP Bluetooth streaming and Bluetooth telephony as well, but I don't use either. A major reason is the Mediabridge phone integration is only active when the stereo is on the Mediabridge input - if you have an incoming call when you are using FM, AM or the CD player, it will not mute the source and ring the call through the stereo. The Parrot works with all sources, including the Mediabridge inputs. The BT music streaming I just never use - the music quality is better over the wired input in the dock, it keeps my phone charged, and I can see the album art, song information, navigation screens, incoming contact information, etc. on the iphone screen.

I went this route after looking at buying the BMW TCU components to install 'OEM' Bluetooth in my car, which was already wired for it - it would have cost a lot more, and done a lot less. Very happy with the current solution, which has nothing visible to indicate anything other than a clean factory install.
