My soft top is looking a little worst for ware in patches, is there a 'blackner' product that can be rubbed into the soft top? Not a problem when I've got the roof down but when it's up it's looking a bit of a state!
I was tempted to rub some black shoe polish into it!!!

Any suggestions :thumbsup:

I made a Google Search: car soft top coloring (Google is always your first line of help my friend ~ someone out there always has the same issues as you I say :))

Um, not sure shoe polish is a good idea...one rain storm and you will have shoe polish all over your car.

Perhaps you are joking and I'm being thick. :?

Anyway, the roof on mine was a mess when I got it, from sitting under trees dropping sticky crap on it for years. I just bought some soft top cleaner from Halfords and I give it some hassle with that every now and then. I like to scrub loads of it in then go to the hand car wash and see how long it takes them to power wash all the soap out. It's amazing how much dirt can get in soaked in...there's still loads of yellowy brown foam streaming down my windows when they are rinsing it. Anyway, I am finding that the closer I get to removing all the old dirt the blacker it becomes.

So,..instead of trying to blacken, maybe just give it a proper clean.
 
Raggtopp - I use it regularly to both clean and maintain the finish. Small creases can be removed using a 'steamer' - the sort you use for removing creases from suits etc, the body of the steamer doesnt touch the fabric but just hold it close to the creases after a wash and hey presto.

ferrelscent is right. The best i have seen my roof is when it has been cleaned, then cleaned again, then jet washed etc. The Ragtop doesn't make it look any blacker really.

I used the AG last year and it cleaned up well, but still looked faded in places. If I read it right, Raggtopp doesn't re-dye but Renovo does. Is that right?
