Does red leather show marks?

Been away for a while after having to get rid of my Z4.

Anyway, I'm almost in the position to get another one, AUC this time.

My previous one had black leather, but this one has coral red.

Does this easily show marks/dirt?

Seen a blue z4 with the beige leather but I'm sure I'd get that filthy.
 
I've only had mine a couple of weeks, but i'd say it wares well and doesn't get grubby looking.
But saying that, if it did, then it would only need a wipe down and some leather cleanser on it to keep it looking fresh.
I think lots of people forget that leather does need some leather care or cleanser on it from time to time. :thumbsup:
 
I had a coral red interior E89 for 2 years, no sign of any wear or problems with marks/dirt.

Looked as good as new when I traded it in, and I never looked after it particularly except for the odd wipe over with a clean duster.
 
Had one with coral red interior, thought about fitting seat covers when using it for work to protect them. Non available for the E89 at the time, so took the chance. Had no issues with any marks showing up. :thumbsup:
 
I've got beige - looks good as new after 15k miles, of which I have done 3k. I give it a once over every couple of weeks with a leather cleaner.
 
I have 2009 3.0i with Coral Red. After 84000 miles there is slight wear to the upper seat back where the seatbelt passes over it. The Bolster is also slightly worn from the previous owner but since I have owned it, it has not deteriorated further. I think the key is to ensure that you don't catch the seats with jean rivets etc. when getting in and out. It is really easy to keep clean.
 
My 30K 3 year old E89 was fine and looked the same as my 3K mile E89 does - so on that basis I would say it is a pretty good colour to have for wear and tear :)
 
The leather on BMWs is very good quality I've found. Had cream leather in my Mini and it looked like new when I sold it, also have cream leather in my Z which also looks new after 30k miles. Much better than the leather in my TTS which is looking a bit tired. Don't think you can go wrong with any colour as long as you don't abuse it
 
Most Modern bmw leather is treated so it has a coating on it. Using leather cleaner is fine but using hide feeds is somewhat a mute point as most can't be properly absorbed due to the coating.

Have a read on Detailing World (sad I know this exists....) . Some great tips on products, usage and manufacturer specific advice as to what works best.

Mine's Coral Red; three years old, looks great. Some surface wear to the bolster at the side, easily fixed.
 
Coral red leather in my old 335d. Looked clean after 4 years,but after cleaning it to sell the blue dye from jeans was clearly visable. after cleaning it was like a new car. used one of those magic erazers.
