Does my car have an amp

Hi my car has a bit in the boot behind the passenger seat that sticks out about an inch and the full height of the boot. It is a factory thing as I have seen a few more like mine. My car has sat nav and cd changer and is a 2004 3.0 and was wondering what is behind it. My pal has a similar Z4 but no sticky out bit in the boot but he has no sat Nav . Any ideas?

As max said, underneath the boot carpet where the battery sits, is the location for the factory fitted amp
 
Hi yes my roof motor has been moved to the boot (by Dave) . Attached is the pic of the bulgey out bit behind the drivers seat

You can see where the motor is to the left of the "bulge" does your car have the optional TV pack? My amp is where stated, between the battery and the rear bumper, mine has the Business CD and HiFi professional upgrade.

No mine doesn't have the TV pack just sat nav and changer. It also has the cubby holes behind the seats so I think the sound system is as standard as can be.
 
Hi, think I may have Sussed out the bulge behind the passenger seat. I think it's something to do with the Bluetooth/ phone prep. Does any one else have the bulge and the phone prep or vice versa

Now i see the bulge in question,i have the same in mine.Ive had the car for 6 yrs but never looked behind the carpet,as you say probably for Blue tooth.
