The guys that bought four pot Zs always wish they had bought a 6 pot, the guys with a small 6 pot wish they had the 3.0, the guys with a 3.0 wish they had a "M", the guys with "M"s seem to want Caymans and 911s...is this the way it goes?

Err No. Not Here. No Way.

This Guy with an M wants to keep his M for a long time yet. :driving:

indeed.

no matter what marque of car you own, some cock will always have a better higher spec'd model and will look down on you like you're some sort of peasant.

A zed is a zed no matter what size,we all have to learn to live with um!!! mostley all females tempremental all the time. But just great to live with!!

I'd love a GT3 but I'd happily keep my M for years if I couldn't stretch to the Porker. I wouldn't swap my M for any other 911 (oh well alright perhaps a GT2 or a Turbo S but a) I'm not likely to be able to afford any of those two anytime soon and b) I'd chose a GT3 over those two - NA over turbo anyday for me)

I love my 3.0si coupe and wouldn't have bought an M because simply out of principle I will never pay the top rate road tax, plus the fact the M is worse on fuel and £500 more on insurance, taking all those into account the lust for an M isnt there for me.

overall no, as I bought the 2.0l because of the running costs, however I'm glad I did not try anything else as I'm not sure I could have resisted the bigger engine :driving:

I don't want a Porsche, and certainly not a Gayman...

...I want a supercharger or a V10 transplant (or rather both), a big brake kit, coilovers, thicker anti roll bars, camber plates, a rear strut brace, race cats, Schrick cams, a throttle cable conversion, racing seats, a fly-off handbrake, lighter track wheels with slicks, a paddle clutch, nitrous, wings, machine guns behind the headlights, bullet-proof rear screen.... :P

A Cayman? That would be a step down from my M. A 991 911 however would be a logical step up.

No plans for some time though as I have spent enough on cars this year with the new X5 as well :D

Just done a porsche silverstone day in a pdk sport chrono Cayman R with ceramic brakes - awesome on the track.

I never wanted an ///M over the 3.0. The difference in driving wasn't enough to justify the relatively large increase in purchase and running costs. I also got over badge envy a long time ago having the misfortune to have a rich friend that changes super cars more often than I change my socks.

However, I am always wishing I had something else and generally act on impulse haemorrhaging money all over the place like a bloody idiot when it comes to cars. This is why I'm already selling the Z4. The worst part is I know for a fact I will regret it.

The Z4M just doesn't do anything for me, but the Alpina certainly does. Has a more exclusive look and feel to it, so would be going that way if I wanted an upgrade from my 3.0

So no, not heading for a ///M in the future unless its a Z3M of course. Porsche has done nothing either for me since I was about 12...

I would like an Imola red ///M in a couple of years, if I can afford it. But everyone already knows that

Probably because I have always wanted an ///M car, and I love the Z4. If I never get one though, it'll be no great loss... I'd never want a Porsche, they just don't do it for me. For now, my 3.0 is more than just fine
