Hi guys I went to install a race thermostat from Mishimoto took the thermostat apart pulled the thermostat out but the metal rod stayed in the housing I tried everything to get it out without breaking the housing. Ended up buying a new housing it came with a completely different style of thermostat.
I eventually got the metal rod out and the end that was in the plastic had two wires going into the plastic. It made me think it wasn’t supposed to come out? I’ve never came across this and couldn’t find anything on it either. I have a 2007 e86 3.0si coupe. Anyone have ideas, am I right there one unit? Thanks for your time guys.
