Does anyone wave?

always get a weird look back when I flash or wave to other Z4 owners. Maybe because most of them seem to be women around here and think I'm trying to pick them up.

The gf on the other hand has no problems getting a wave back when she's driving. Apparently she gets a lot of waves and shouts from guys in riced out civics when she's driving alone too. :rofl:

I wave! I recently waved at an E89 and he \ she waved flashed back I come from the Corrado scene and we pretty much all but stopped and hugged when we saw another one. :rofl:

That doesn't surprise me. E89 owners are some of the nicest people you could ever meet.

Really playalistic? it's a bit of harmless banter which most of us (no matter what we drive) consider to be quite funny. Not every thread ends up that way but this one was crying out for it. I for one have seen some very sharp and witty genuinely laugh out loud exchanges. It would be a shame if that stopped. If u can't stand the heat .......... Or just be done with it and get a coupe.

I always flash a smile at the least. And I do the "finger lift off the steering wheel" thing sometimes too as w1phil has mentioned.

I used to always wave but due to the lack of love in return I've opted for a finger lift off the steering wheel. Sometimes it gets a response and if it doesn't I'm not left feeling like a complete goon!

And I always flash or wave if I get a flash or a wave first. Had quite a lot actually. From coupe's AND roadsters!

I've also seen some very sharp and witty genuinely laugh out loud exchanges. They do exist outside of the roadster v coupe debate believe it or not. Frankly it has been done a million times and was boring then and is now. Maybe there should be a sub-forum so you lot can have your emo outpourings and leave the sensible discussion to the rest of us

I usually wave to e85s and e89s - i've hadn't had any wave back. the e89 owners try to pretend they haven't seen me and look away from me. The e85 owners seem to at least smile back.

is this because e89 owners are not really petrolheads compared to the e85s? - due to it still being relatively new?

Used to do it years ago when out on the bikes but it slowly died a death.

Don't tend to wave or flash other Z4s as I'm usually so shocked to see one around where I live that it's usually to late to do anything but watch it disappear in the rear view mirror. :driving:
