Does anyone use an adaptor when jacking up the Zed?

Well I bought one, they're only cheap, from the perspective of lifting it in the right place with the right tool to avoid slippage or damage to paint/bodywork. That said, the number of times I've grounded the car on speed humps or whatever, there's probably enough scrapes under there to not really warrant the worry over the block. I really must get it checked underneath soon to see if I need to apply any sealant back to the underside. As for getting the block, they're not expensive so why not take the extra care.

What are these blocks? Anyone got a link? Only had the zed a few weeks so still learning!

I have a cheap rubber jacking pad I bought off flea bay, it really saves chewing up the jacking point and is well worth the few pounds they cost

Brilliant!
Customers who bought these also bought...

Hockey Stick
Street Hockey Stick
Hockey Stick Handle Tape
Axle Stands
Brake Fliud Tester
Trolley Jack!

Me too

You can make jack pad adapters out of a solid rubber hockey puck - just mark out the rectangle and cut the puck to about half depth with a hacksaw then cut in from the sides

Ordered - thanks for the tip

I made one from a piece of hard wood (a piece of mahogany from an old door frame I pulled out of a skip!)

Took about 5 mins to cut down by carefully setting the depth of a skilsaw. Works brilliantly. I keep meaning to make another for when the tyres get swapped front to back and need two jacks.
