Hi Folks,

Looking to get into my 5th Z4 and this time looking for a bit of a project car.

This black E85 3.0 auto is for sale near me:

https://www.werringtonmotors.co.uk/used-cars/bmw-z4-3-0-i-se-roadster-2dr-peterborough-201902265315809

I saw some Z4-forum instructions for repairing/moving the roof motor in the paperwork and was wondering if it might be a forum member's car. Any insight into the history would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Pav

Don't know the car but it looks decent enough for the price.

MOT History here.... https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/

Last MOT...

Repair as soon as possible (minor defects):
Central Windscreen damaged but not adversely affecting driver's view (3.2 (a) (i))
Monitor and repair if necessary (advisories):
Rear Brake pipe corroded, covered in grease or other material Fuller inspection not possible as hidden by plastic undertrays (1.1.11 (c))
Parking brake only just reaches efficiency

So it may have had a new windscreen. Would be wanting to check that it was the BMW seal thing used for the Windscreen.

It looks like the wheels are 18" not 17 as per the advert.

Even if it needs £1k spent on it it'll still be quite a lot of car for not a lot of money.

Thanks for the reply. I ended up going for an E89 35i instead. My 4th Z4. I’ll be putting up pics when I pick it up.

Wow....this was the car I bought new in 2004 and kept for the first 3 years of it's life. It cost me £34k back then....sold it for £14k 3 years and 36k miles later. Still looks in good nick for a car that's 15 years old, always nice to see your old cars still running nicely. It originally came with 17s and I bought those split rim 18's after, so that explains the advert.

When I had it my wife bashed into another car, so the front was resprayed in 2005...and tbh was a car that spent a lot of time back and forth in the dealership under warranty. Coilpacks, suspension, springs, dash replacement (twice), failed lights....but we still loved the car and I really got into detailing by owning this car.

Just showed my wife this, she wants me to buy this back tomorrow morning. Would make a nice spring/summer present for her....no idea where to keep it though
