Does anyone know how this goes together?

The tap on the center console door which makes the micro switch to turnoff the console light is broken off of my door and I removed the door to add a screw so that the head of the screw would act as a cam to make the micro switch. Following how to instructions I found, I removed the small screws from the hinge and pulled the door off.

Some how the two small collars managed to come off of the door pins, I have no idea how they managed to but they did.

The collars I'm talking about is item 16 in this drawing:

And they look like this:

They fit onto the door hinge pins and they are what the screws fit into.

I read some where there is a way to release the hinge locks by inserting a small Allen wrench into a hole on the left side of the door, and there is a hole there, but simply pressing on the wrench does nothing. Is there a trick to this or is it possible that the release on my door is messed up too?

There is no way to slide these collars back on without releasing something, any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Yep, but how do you get them back onto the pins in the door? I've already broke one of them trying to slide them on (luckily I can replace them for a couple bucks)

Maybe I'm being a little thick but the pins I'm talking about are triangularly shaped and I'm guessing they are spring loaded to ease the door down when opened because part 16 is shaped in a way that would not turn in the console mounting bracket.

Unless these pins retract some when released there doesn't seem to be enough room to slide them back on.

Thanks man, yeah I read your post on how to remove the door and that's how I managed to get it off, but for some reason mine was a real bear. I think that maybe when I was yanking on it to get it out I managed to bump the spring load tension enough for them to slip past the hinge wall and fall off.

BTW now that I have seen them off those screws don't expand anything they just lock the collars onto the pins so just as a heads up I don't think you need to loosen them to get the door off.
