Does anybody kn ow what this part fits

Now I'm unsure if it fell off when i removed the expansion tank or it was lying on the splash guard

But does anyone know where exactly this fits onto? please dont tell me i need to remove and fit it below the expansion tank or something lol

just to add, i have restarted the car and no leaks! (so Far) lol

Is there a prt number on it. If so put it in realoem.com and it will tell you what cars it used on and where.

when i googled (images) the part number it looks like it a small cover that sits on the on the bottom of the thermostat, anyone know where its sits in conjuction to the expansion tank, does it sit inside it or bridge to it?

i'll check in daylight tomorrow :?

yeh its bust, now it makes sense why the expansion tank failed, i came across this video on you tube

The thermostat sits in the front centre of the engine.
