Does a personalised number make you a nob?

Personalised plates are fine as long as you don't start dicking about with the font/spacing to make it say something it doesn't :)

Agree most of the ones i see do not even make sense

I'm just going to change my name by deed poll to Mr Anthony VX56ONN and then I'll have the perfect private plate.

I had one on the M5, but that was simply "M5 XXX" - where the last 3 characters meant nothing to me and as such it only cost £80 on ebay. If I'd have gone on DVLA/RegTransfers/etc. website I'd have paid about £400 for the same.

I've had no luck trying to find ZZ04MCC or ZZ04MMM though - but that's because Z isn't allowed in the first two spaces :headbang:

MM04 ZZZ might work though, or MM05 MMM, or MY06 ZAM (with the A changed to look like a 4).

im getting a simple plate put on mine- mainly as i want an NI plate on my car again and also as i think it looks good to have something shorter. dont like wen people play around to make them say something they don't either tho

I was passed by a Subaru driving at a high rate of knots on Sunday morning on the M6. the reg was PASSNOT. Still not quite worked out how he did that...a bit of fiddling I think!

The worst thing is the price of some of them. BO55 £500k can anyone beat that (i'm sure there are - there's a lot of sad people out there with too much money)

that would be the dearest uk plate ever.
However thats a long way off the dearest plate ever the plate '1' went for 7.25 million in the UAE

that's 5 or 6 veyrons!!! and all just for a number plate! i don't care how rich i was i could never spend that much money on something so stupid! also talking of veyrons.... i saw one in the flesh for the first time last night. it was in matte blue!! so sooooo nice!!!!! :driving:

I think that private plates are cool, they personalise your car and disguise its true age. Ive had one for years and never really thought that people might think Im a knob. However, it would seem that the typical ill educated saloon car boredom brigade think that all z4 drivers are knobs. Therefore as a z4 driver with a private plate I'm a double knob.......excellent!.......now, Audi drivers........

I got M4OUP for cheap, my missus asked what it meant, I told her straight up I cant afford a 'C' in place of the '4'....oh yeah - its not called an M4 either

No stickers tho !

im guessing the bravado of having the dearest plate is the same as having the fastest production car. its all relative- u got it u spend it- same as we dont drive micras- we buy the best we can they do the same on a much grander and admitedly more ridiculus scale!

I saw this guy who had private plates on both his cars parked side by side in his drive one was ' 2 BE ' and the other ' NOT 2B'

I thought that was quite cool.
I've seen pics of those posted on another forum in the past, not bad :)

Somewhere central London IIRC.

yeah, by the river. pimlico i think? one was an aston martin.
2BE is on a DB9 - It's Bernie Ecclestones car and yes it's by the Pimilco bridge.

Ooooh, i wonder if his daughter lives there with them :D

We've got tons more latittude here in the US. I've been thinking of getting BTS WLKN for the Fortwo. Nothing ever seems right for the Z4.

I once saw a car with the plate ' 7 ' when i was out in London. Can't remember what it was on now though as it was a while ago.

U2 is on a 4x4 in Preston... nothing special either, but I imagine the plate is worth a bit, and probably will hold its value better than any car ever will :D

Hi dude this plate is not messed with a picture for your eyes only just to remind you of what you saw but in slow motion ( picture to follow ) PA55 NOT is clearly what it says and im surely not a NOB :x

Not sure where a plate like that would come from. Probably not England as we started at 'A1', not single digits as far as I know.
