Do you Wave?

I used to work at a nut farm. The nuts loved watching the Beverly Hillbillies TV show, cause at the end the Hillbillies come out of their mansion and wave at the camera. The nuts all waved back. In fact, when the show was on in the day room as it moved towards concluding an episode the nuts would gather in greater numbers -- just so they could wave back at Jethro, Uncle Jed, Ellie and Granny.

I see parallels here...

Please stop.. you're hurting me :ROFL2: :ROFL2:

I find if you wave you get looks back like you slept with their mother :o

In Aebous's case, he probably has
Or any family member. :poke:

Hey!
Family members need luvin too

I wave to pretty much any other roadster. I'll sometimes wave at Mustangs, vette's. Generally if I don't wave its because I didn't see you.

I get more waves from S2000 owners. Couple different guys in Miatas wave. Maybe my baby blue zed was a bad idea. I do have a two different M drivers that wave at me, one's a Z4M roadster, the other is a Z3M roadster. Both are women and I drive a purty blue car.

My 3 experiences:

1) Guy in his 50s with his wife, driving in same direction on the highway (top up, cold weather): I waved to him. He gave me this half nod, no smile at all. Then he sped up like crazy as if I were trying to race him or something.
2) Guy in his 50s driving towards me in opposite direction (top down): waved to me which caught me by surprise, and I quickly waved back.
3) Guy in his 20s driving in same direction in bumper to bumper highway traffic, acting all cool, bopping to the music with his left arm hanging out of the car top down: I kept looking at him, and he pretended like he didn't see me. Then eventually he grudgingly looked over and gave this half-nod, half-wave. I guess it was hard to ignore me since we were practically right beside each other inching along on the highway!

In general, I think most people are not that friendly when they are driving. Many people are paranoid and in a defensive mode.

I used to wave in my Alfa 147, but only ever got stupid glares back so now I only wave if someone else instigates it ...

The lady in the Z4M roady glared at me the first two times I waved, now she always waves and smiles when she sees me. I'll like her better if she will put the top down one of these days. Our controller at work always comes over to say hi now that he knows i have a Z4 and can tell him how his works.

owned a Z3M Coupe before... rare over here so got quite a bit of response from Z3 drivers, incl waves (and phone numbers  ) noticed that Z4 crowd has quite a different attitude... nodding works sometimes, but stopped waving... enthousiasm appears to not be an OEM part for quite a few drivers.

Waved at 2 Z4s yesterday with not even a look back. I'm giving up on this shite. Kansas peeps are good but rather unfriendly, IMO.

I wave at all z4's and most other convertibles with the top down. In New Orleans about half wave back. In Panama City Fla almost all wave back. Must have something to do with being on vacation.

I find that I get waved back to by more Z3's than anything!

Funny! I was thinking this the other day!

I seem to have a couple of other coupes near me here and I have waved a couple of times but they look at me like I have something wrong with me. I really don't think they feel as much about the car as I do! lol

when I had my VW Corrado, people waved ALL the time. Things were put to balance on Wednesday, though, when a driver of a VERY cool z4Mc gave me the thumbs up on the M11 motorway! Naturally I smiled and did the same back. Its such a good feeling! :D

Wave more, put more thumbs up!! :)
