Do you smoke in your car?

I hate smoking with a passion. While out running I can smell smoke on people I pass in the middle of the countryside even if they are not smoking....
In or near my car - I'd drive over you first....

When I retired from my regular job, I wanted to do something for humanity seeing how I had such a plastic easy life. I became a nurse in a hospital in the death and dying ward. Nobody was going to leave my word alive, or at least vey few did.
One of my tasks was to pull all the hoses and other things out of persons who were not with us anymore. I closed their eyes, closed their mouth and cleaned their bodies and put a new fresh gown on them. One of the real pleasures was to work on a smoker. Many times as I rolled them on their sides to clean their behind a gush of tar, and smoking residue would run out of their lungs and out their month.
Dying these days in a hospital is really not that bad of an experience. With the morphine drip. The doctors put you to sleep. They will not tell you that but in the years I worked in the hospital I saw it done many times. Anyway dying of lung cancer or emphysema is not one of the better ways to go gasping for breath. I know a lot of you young people are going to live for ever, and can quit smoking any time you want…Ya heard that a million times. STOP NOW and do not let anyone you love SMOKE. Let alone in your ZED. If you do, you are too stupid to have one. When I was young I smoked 3 packs a day and it was very hard to stop. :evil: :evil:

by the way, I don't smoke cigarettes and my average is 1 cigar/week, not really a heavy smoker. Oddly enough, cigarettes disgust me and I wash and change after any smoking. My wife is extremely sensitive to the smell, so I have to be as clean as possible. Get me stuck in heavy traffic though and sometimes i'll light up.

That was part of it, the three hour drive from Watsonville (Riverside dr) to Capitola. I'm sure everyone thought i was a real jerk and a potential fire hazard myself, but sitting on Freedom Blvd itself for over 2 hours in 100 degree weather seemed like a good time to relax with a nice cigar. I was probably one of the only people not pounding on their steering wheel.
This was our third wildland fire in about 2 months, hopefully we're done.
