If your warranty has expired, you don't need the CDV or dummy CDV. Just take it out altogether.

That's like tieing the shoelaces from both shoes together. Sure you can still manage to walk without tripping. But why would you want to?

Sounds like an easy job if you can just remove it and re-fit the same line to the clutch piston

just removed the cdv easy job used a pressure bleed kit one man job then

I thought the strain of just removing the CDV to be a concern, so I opted for the straight through CDV.

Never looked back on that mod.

It just isn't needed and does upset the balance required for quicker gear changes.

You may be fine with it in situ, but you should test drive a car that has had it removed.
