Do you look at weather reports before you wash your zed?

Hi all-as above really, wanted to do mine today but rain on and off and forecast rain on monday :( -or do you have a routine that you hold to regardless of the weather?

I like to wash my Zed once a week and I do check the forecast for a number of reasons. In the summer I don't want to wash if the weather is going to be rain right away and in the winter I want to avoid extremely cold temps.

Just washed mine, didn't do it Yesterday as it was forecast rain this morning but we now have nice blue skies if a little breezy and cold.....

I wish I had looked, but normally I do look to see what the weather is doing, but I've washed it 3 times a week for the last 18 months I've had it.....

I try to wash once a week minimum. With pressure rinses in between if required :)

Weather doesn't bother me too much

I always try and wash mine once a week plenty of times I have washed it on a Sunday only for it to rain all week. I try and make sure it will stay dry longer enough to wash and dry it.

Just look out the window, although if it looks dubious outside sometimes I check the weather! If it gets dirty within the next couple of days then nevermind, just needs washing again.

Oh dear... I havent washed mine in 3 weeks now, and its covered about 1000 miles of motorway driving in that time... Inc snow... Its literally grey now :(

I washed mine before lunch today and did the A1 after lunch but had to finish quickly as rain/sleet came on.

Use a circuit breaker for the jet washer, only stop if it's bucketing it down, drizzle just helps with the final rinse. Always wash at least once a week, but only ever wax & polish in overcast though...

Possible hose-pipe ban this summer. :(
Will NEVER happen north of the Border...

But if it does, I had excellent results using Chemical Guys waterless car wash stuff on my campervan when I spent 3 weeks (and 2500 miles) touring around Europe last summer. I was paranoid about scratching the paintwork hence trying the van first rather than the Z4...) but it was brilliant. I just couldn't stand allowing the van to get too dirty even on holiday, and car washes are a strict no-no for my analness.

As the Z's a funday only car it's not normaly out if there is any hint of rain. I usualy wash the wheels every time I've been out for an evening spin to get the brake dust off. If I take it out at the weekends in the winter then it's washed as soon as I get back home then tucked back in the garage. Pamperd like a puppy it is.

Yes, though often 'looking out of the window' works for me... And with Operation Auntie Ned complete I am now able to complete drying and polishing under cover... In fact my car is very excited that it will be getting it's first wax very soon

I always check the weather forecast to make sure it won't rain on the day I'm doing it. Beyond that I'm not too concerned.

In fact both my Honda Civic daily snotter and the Z4MC may well get a wash today - forecast 11c and cloudy (but dry) where I am. Perfect washing weather.

I'm also going to have a play with my new Megs G220v2 today on the Civic - just going to wash, clay and machine polish/wax the bonnet so I can get used to it.

I saw the weather report and promptly ignored it because the sun's been shining all morning, I'm at home, etc so I gave my new Z her first polish, after a good wash and dry. The post man walked by and said 'that's a nice car you've got there!', and someone else drove by quite slowly gawking at my car :D

On a side note, I'm KNACKERED! lol. I must be getting old :(

I normally check ... not that it always helps because the weather reports are often sooo wrong.

Tomorrow, for example, is car washing day! And it has been a while because the weather has been so cr*p so consistently that it has been almost impossible to get a clear day that isn't sub-zero to wash on.
The forecast for tomorrow is cloudy with a max. temperature of around 7°C. That'll do. The forecast for the following two days is cloudy with occasional snow (ugh). So, a nice wash and clean tomorrow, then the Zed goes under its cover for a few days until the weather clears up again.

Really, really hating this winter. :x

Wash my car in the garage so no need to look at the weather report :)
