Do you let your partner drive your Z?

Yes - I drive my wife's cars and she drives mine. They're just cars; she's the person I've chosen to spend the rest of my life with.
 
No, my wife has never driven it and does not like to ride in it....go figure. :?
I guess her a$$ likes that plushy/cushy feeling in a vehicle. Still :?
 
Yes and he lets me drive his Porsche
Neither car would be anywhere near as much fun if it wasn't shared.
 
mrs smartbear drove my zed the day after i got it but i think she could detect that i was unable to breathe, so she hasnt driven it since out of kindness :lol:

It's her Z, so it would be churlish of me nor to let her really...
I drive if we're going somewhere new as she doesn't like driving somewhere she's not used to. I can't take it out without her permission though :oops:
 
Whilst my wife is not averse to a such a long one in this instance it simply terrifies her :(

I too find the bonnet abnormally lengthy so I don't force her to give it a try.
 
Occasionally, but only if I'm in the car as well, she knows the car is my P&J so is really careful with it.
 
Yes, once. Thankfully pee cleans up quite easily.

Strangely Mrs E is fine her Cooper S which is no slouch so I think it's the long bonnet and pampering of the Zed that she finds intimidating :)
 
I'm fortunate that mine doesn't even have a licence :D

Once in Holland, I put her on a bicycle to go to the shop, she fell off in 20 mts ....... :D in her own words, people like her should not be allowed to drive :rofl:
 
It's just a car, so no problem at all handing the keys over. In fact really enjoys taking the ///M out.

Given the amount I spend (waste) on the car, it's only fair she can enjoy it too.
 
Mrs Adamski doesn't want to drive mine - she says it's too fast and she wouldn't feel comfortable driving it. I offered to put her on the insurance this year, but she politely declined

Never understood that, it's only as fast as you make it go with your right foot... it doesn't do 0-60 in 5 seconds by default. Can drive it like a 1.1 Pug 206 if you wish. Maybe take her out for a proper drive with you in the passenger seat, get her familiar with the car. Will probably make her a better driver in the long run. I've always let my wife drive my cars, my Westfield included.

It's more to do with the sensitivity of the car. It's got a savage clutch, brutal power delivery, long bonnet, tricky 1st to 2nd gear shift etc etc, and Mrs A just isn't keen to go through the process of learning to get used to it. It's easier to pull out of a junction quickly in Mrs A's car, a 1.2, than it is in mine.
 
I am not precious about mine, happy to let (almost) everyone have a go if they want. Friends, family, loose acquiantances have all driven my car.
 
Hmmm. Not sure about letting just anyone drive mine... Though Mrs B would be welcome to if she could. I'd even have to think twice about letting my brother drive it - he's rolled his fair share of Fiestas etc....
