Do You Have Sporty Neighbours

One side has a Crysler Crossfire other side RCZ Two doors up 123d vert and a Porsche Cayanne Turbo so some nice cars about still like me Z best though :D

Dunno if I dare say, but I really fancied the Chrysler Crossfire convertible, but was talked out of it by husband saying it looked like "a sh*tting" dog, lots of people saying it's handling was awful, and RAC man telling me he didn't fancy coming to see me on a regular basis to fix my car.

The guy a few doors down did have a black 612 Scaglietti but traded it last year for a red California.

The trend around me seems to be having projects tucked away in garages. All our garages lead to a private lane at the back of the houses. it;s great on a Sunday having a walk down and seeing what there is. My next door neighbour is rebuilding a 924 turbo, there's an e36 M3 2 doors down, an MX5 track car next to him and a really old mini Cooper a few doors down from that.

Within the vicinity of my house ( a stones throw ) there is:

Porsche Boxster S
Mercedes CLK 55 AMG
Maserati Quattroporte

Not so sporty...

Range Rover Sport Overfinch
BMW X5 35i

My new car will fit in a bit better than my A6 hopefully

Guy opposite has a white E-TYPE roadster stored in his next door neighbours garage: It comes out once a month, gets washed, polished, waxed etc .. then hides again. Shame.

One side of me has a pug 309 and the otherside has a focus estate

I have the only convertible on the road!

There is an orange gt83 few doors down though!

But i live in a family orientated residential area which prob explains that.. Apparently there are 3 good schools within my encatchment area... Which when buying my house 6 years ago the estate agents continuously told me... Even though i was mid 20's no kids or wife/ gf and i kept telling them thats schools are the bottom of my priorities!

Sad to say the my closest neighbour has a Rover 75 with more dents and scratches than is good for it. When his idiot son arrives it's a Pug 406 Estate with almost as many dents. Thank god they are renting and will be gone soon.......I hope.

Other than that our little close of 9 houses has a Rover 25, Honda non descript mini people carrier,RR Sport, Mk 2 Disco, my fleet and the 1 other petrol head has a sporty little Audi daily driver and and original Audi Quatro which sounds awesome. It's only used on highdays and holidays or when the local Audi Main dealer has an open day and then it takes pride of place in their showroom.

Off the top of my head, my street has a brand new white Audi A5, a modified A3, a Mk3 golf with a terrific exhaust on it and my Z, nothing else of note really.

I think I may have the only sports car in our street :(

Chap down a few doors just got a shiny new Evoque in white which is gorgeous, but I don't think that counts.

Got at least 3 or 4 bikers who are very noisy early on sunny Sunday mornings :x

On both counts, do you live by me? :P

 One thing I love, about sunny Sundays, is chatting to the other petrol heads in the road. The Stag, over the road, has been a work in progress for about two years now but he was finaly out driving it Sunday. Sounded glorious. :driving:

only decent cars i an think of off the top of my head are a C63 AMG (sounds fantastic) and my neighbours new-ish 325i cab, and of course my Z4. everyone else seems to drive boring anony-boxes.

some guy has a tarted up tt, but it looks s**t as he's painted half of the car black and half is still silver.

Yeah, I've got to know a few of my neighbours purely through appreciation of each others garage/driveway projects.

There's an ancient yellow beetle hiding in one of the garages at the bottom of the road (garage door is slightly off the hinges so you can just see the bonnet). It's a very elderly woman that lives in the house, I've never seen anyone near the garage so am wondering if it might be worth knocking the door and asking about it.

What's to lose, get knocking. As long as you have room in the Garage.

We did have an E85 3.0 and an E86 3.0 but both have disappeared in the past six months. We now have a new white Boxster (not S), SLK 250 D and a 1er 123d convertible.

Plaza 3 lives nearby so I'm always going to have a parade of interesting tin to look at :)

My neighbour works for Dick Lovett Porsche and often comes home in a demo car. He's 22...
