Please don't let this click-bait style titling become a thing

Don’t worry, the worst words are saved for those who know each other the most... & for those ex-roadys who’ve gone Coupe... or visa versa

Personally I think it's a little too narrow, should be another 6in wider, it's too small and feminine as it is. Straight on from behind it's not a good looking car, but the 3/4 angle is a nice look.

The cars that "got me" have always been:

AC Cobra Coupe
TVR Griffith
Lotus Elise Mk2
TVR Tuscan Mk1
BMW Z4C/Z4MC

I've been lucky enough to own 3 of those, in my short time driving.

Agree on your list of nice looking coupes.

I like the Z4MC, Solstice coupe, Jensen Interceptor and the Jamaican shape. Still own all four.

Nice collection OP! Isn't that the Fibrefab Jamaican? Have you got any new pics of it?

Lovely! I saw a few Solstices in Canada when I went there for a holiday. We don't really get them here in the UK :( The Interceptor is just great!

The Jamaican is on an MGA chassis and I repowered it using a GM 3.4 V6 (about 200 bhp). See http://www.rhodo.citymax.com/Jamaican.html for pics and links to a couple of magazine articles on the car. I won't clutter the BMW forum with off topic pics

Solstice is one of only 1200 odd coupes and I have massaged it to 375 bhp. Lots of fun.

The Jensen was built in 1971 and has about 350 bhp - I built a high compression big block for it. Nice cruiser.

I guess to be complete I should add my other coupe, a 1962 MGA. Extra points if you can identify the brown car under the port cochere beside the Jensen.

That’s not a Ferrari Daytona?

Nope, much rarer. Hint - they made 100 of them.

PS - they actually made a few more Daytonas than they did my Solstice coupe.

Every bloke needs a classic in his life :D

I’ve just started a new group on the book of faces, “Retro and Historic Car Society”

What ever you got............ let’s see some showing off :D
Don’t worry your head about Negative bullsh*t comments, they are simply not tolerated

Looks like a Lamborghini Islero..

Personally, I disagree with the statements about CSL wheels on Z4s.

I think CSL wheels should only be on CSLs. On anything else it just makes it look like a 'wannabe' ! A bit like putting 'M' badges on non-M cars.... :fuelfire: :fuelfire:

And that's why 224s are going back on my Z4MR.

... so you have a spare set of OEM CSL’s for sale... drop me a PM if you do, thanks

Only every day after I park it....!

That has always being my yardstick! Absolutely 100% Correct-amundo!

Yep!
Post-bangle Bmw seems like they lost direction.
