Do you ever just walk back to you Z and.......

As per the looks and stance of the zed I agree.

But I hate to admit. That while the performance of the car is good. I don't think the performance is commensurate with the looks of the car. I find that I have to really get on it HARD to keep GTI's, sport clio's, and sport Meganes at bay. :exitright:

They are a different breed of cars tho, on the road they may be quicker to get up and go but the Zd is a much much better car all round. Although I have no problem in my Z4Mc and find pleasure kicking them to the curb. People are always challenging me on dual carriageways most of the time I cant be bothered but on the odd occassion and if the guys looks like he deserves to be kicked to the curb I will open her up and hit that red line glory with all the epicness of the noise and watch them disapere in the rear view!

Renault may be fun, but it lacks the panache. We even have Renaultsport converts among us: http://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=36236#p496313

Snapped before a meet .. my favourite Car Park shot of Mine

I love this car - it has a great denim-and-leather colour scheme, a rock'n'roll rebel look.

Looking back at the parked Zed is also a penchant of mine. Its pure "must-be-a-future-classic" silhouette lends a Bond feel to my otherwise mundane life.

Previously I owned a Tiburon V6 - and I looked back at it every time, albeit for the last two years in anger. It was not the fastest shark in the pool.

Tiburon v6? not heard of that one.

It was the American version of the Hyundai Coupe, basically the same. I rebadged it with the original Korean badges - on the KDM market it was sold as Tuscani. A real looker, very reliable, ultra-stiff shocks, plenty of torque from the Santa Fe-sourced 2.7 V6, a wonderful sunroof, but overall - heavy and underpowered. Good for cruising. Anyway, I loved modding it.

More pics, if you're interested:

As you can see in my video, the FWD understeered way too much to have fun:

Really? I've owned the majority of Renaultsports, and apart from a Remapped Megane, I cant see a lot staying with an 3.0si!?

In regards to looks, it's a no contest for me - Z4 every single time.

I often sit and stare out my office window just looking at it... I always try to park it in a spot close to my office window. :D

I've liked the look of these too, very aggressive, but actually when my eyes add the look to the performance my brain knows is in there I just see a very expensive Matchbox car. Fine if you just want some fun every once in a while, probably on a track, but otherwise :? Just my opinion of course :D

After having my z4 3.0i for 5 days now I find myself looking at it at every available opportunity! The car is nicer looking than I first thought!
With regards to the performance of the car I find they are not silly quick but enough to get you in trouble and I have to say I ann very pleased with the fuel economy mainly town driving and some spirited driving and i am apparently averaging 29 mpg! Thats double than what I use to get from my TVR chimaera lol!

There is something really nice about that colour. In theory it should look rubbish, but it looks superb 8)

The number of compliments I received on my Z4 at this week's opening of Jimmy Buffet's Margaritavile Casino was pleasantly surprising. The cherry parking spot I landed probably helped. I even caught a 2011 blacked-out Corvette owner ogling my ride. She is a thing of beauty! :driving:

Did it yesterday, had to stop at Southwaite Services on the M6 for quick pit stop. The Zed was parked by itself basking in the sunshine and as the OP says I just not help smiling as I walked back towards it, and that's after 8 years of ownership, though it looks a little different to how I bought it.

Not me - it certainly doesn't have supercar looks IMO...

I walk back to it and think "that's a good value, cheap convertible for summer roof down fun".....

Its a nice car yes. Ive not picked mine up yet but I know the feeling with my vx220. Always look back at it. Not only are there not many about but there's not many in white either!
