Do you acknowledge other Zed drivers on the road?

Yorkshire folk are pretty friendly, I always acknowledge other zeds and regularly get a wave from a blue coupe and a red E89. I did confuse the blue coupe - whose surname must be lister when I waved from my 5 one day
I do get quite a few waves from other drivers - don't get any in the Porsche :poke:

Never had a wave or flash back when i was in my old M roadster from a Zed or for that matter any other BMW

Totally agree, I have waved or flashed my lights, but 99% of the time no responce. So now if the other car acknowledges then I will reply

I'd wave when the opportunity arises, but they're few and far between here. Once pulling out of a car park I joined with a grey coupe with a particularly lovely looking lady driving it and we shared a nod  The only other time was when I flashed and waved at one coming towards me but with no response, you're left sitting there wondering "do I look like a dickhead?!". Although I suppose driving a convertible Beemer will usually dictate that yes, yes I do.

I would wave but most other Z drivers seem oblivious. When I had an impreza I would get a response 99% of the time no matter what age / model, I guess the difference is that if you own a scooby you are defiantly a petrol head but if you own a Z there is a fair chance you're just a poser (especially those soft top owners :fuelfire: ) ...hardly ever see another z4mc on the road

I tend to acknowledge other drivers, however I normally do the cyclists nod or 'brake fingers up' which makes a chocolate kettle seem very functional

No I don't.

I used to do a long time ago (long before I got the Zed) but then thought I wouldn't nod at someone walking down the street wearing the same trainers or say hello to someone wearing the same watch as me.

I flash people I know buts that's it.

I have an Alfa GTV I get the Alfa wave from older Alfas but not from the newer models. The older cars are driven by people who care but the new ones a higher proportion of them are just cars to the owners.

Thought it might be the same with the zeds.

Will find out in a week or two when I get mine!

What model Z4 are you getting? Dont forget to post in the newbie's thread when you have it

I want to wave but hubby thinks I'm daft. We did get a couple of waves when we first got ours back in September but not anymore. Even though I wasn't driving ours a lovely silver zed driver must have sensed a fellow zed-er and was very polite on Thursday morning and let me out at a blocked roundabout on Southamptons Avenue, loads of other cars had either blocked the entry or just carried on. If she is on here - thank you from the green yaris :D
