Do they detune courtesy / hire cars?

Was handed the keys to a MG3 & really feel it has absolutely no go... any thoughts whether they detune them?
 
Every car in the MG3 range has 105PS which is 103bhp. It’s got no go :lol:

Hummm... my son’s new 100HP Panda leaves it standing, feels wheezy & as if there’s some giant hand holding it back

That's 2 more than my ageing Mazda2 and that goes like a little whippet. :D :thumbsup:

Just Googled and the MG3 is a good 100kg heavier. That's a lot in a small car.

Reads like a piece of junk in that review. Hardy a super mini. :(
 
I was following an MG3 the other and thought it looked quite good for a small hatch, I'd probably have one over a Dacia in the price range but yes the MG has pretty much no go to match the looks.

had an mg3 as a hire car - there would literally be no need, they are offensively gutless cars.. A shame as I was a big MG Fan having had a ZT190, ZS180, a few F's and TF's

I can't say the brand has gone backwards per-say, more a complete change of direction, but it's a bit woeful that they completely abandoned the ethos of the brand..

The 3 was a bit woeful though. Numb steering, less go than my 2004 renault trafic, big blind spots, cheap interior, noisy, it's rare I genuinely dislike most things about driving a car - really rare, but I took it back a week early to change it, it was that bad.

I’m letting them have it back early... can’t say I’ll miss anything other than was super cheap to fill up
