Do the wind deflectors inside the roll hoops do much?

As one of mine is rattling and I'm tempted to remove them and just use the main deflector between the hoops

Mine don't rattle they sometimes make an annoying buzzing sound. I am tempted to use a bit of clear silicon sealer on them.

Any idea how they are removed? To clean, more than anything else.

You have to remove the roll bar covers which could result in damage. Best to use a bit os silicone to hold them in place.

Cleaning is easy with the roof down :?

Put tiniest amount of clear silicone on mine years ago and been silent since.
