Do M sport and Non M Sport cars have the same drivers airbag

Hi can anyone tell me if m sport and non sport cars have the same airbag?

I bough an Msport steering wheel and the airbag doesn't fit correctly it pertrudes quite a bit from the wheel and won't sit flush.

The seller thinks it's because it won't fit non m sport cars is this the case?

My car is a 2003 3.0i

I'm sure they are the same, many have swapped from non sport to sport wheels.

Probably a trapped wire in the way.
 
I have a 2003 3.0 and I changed my steering wheel from standard to msport using the original airbag with no issues

Ok guys thanks for your help

Definatly doesn't fit correctly so looks like I'll have to send it back :(

Not sure why though as the car aid the airbag wasn't deployed so I can't see it deforming

Any ideas I could try before returning?

maybe a couple of pictures would help people ? (thats about as much help as i can be as i know nothing lol)
 
It's packaged up now ready to return to the sender, im pretty good at things like this and if the airbags are the same im pretty sure it is a defective product, i tried it more than once and even tried if off of the car and it clips into the springs but leaves a big gap around and the airbag wobbles about.

The only other option would be to try and swap the sping backing boards over but im not sure if i can be bothered with messing with it again or even if it will work! ill see how i feel over the next few days :)

ill keep a look out for another one on ebay otherwise.
