Hi everyone.
My friend wants me to go in half with a dual action machine polisher approximately £360
But I'm not shore if it's the right move. Is it easy to do
Or should I get a professional to do it.....Correct, Refine and Shine Detail.
3 stage machine polish exterior detail demands a minimum of 2-4 days.
No millimetre of the exterior is left untouched. For £280/£400
My friend has a z3m coupe........

That must be a Rupes for £360...the top of the range..

If you havent done it before then i would think that the machine is overkill....Get a DAS pro 6 for a third of the price and you can practice yourself.

It depends if you have any interest in doing the detailing, its a long process to get the paintwork good,so if patience isnt your bag, take the care elsewhere...

Personally i love it.......I find it therapeutic and get a few quid to do other peoples cars....

Depends where in Lancs you are but we have 2 of the best detailers in the country....

Both called Matt...

Offyourmarks in Warrington

Obsidian detailing in Saddleworth..

Both will work with you on budget...

+1  I've just bit the bullet and done mine myself. Watched a few you tube tutorials and listened to some good advice off fellow forum members. Go for it!!!

Its not as scary as its made out. the Das 6 or Das21 are simple to use with common sense and much more rewarding doing it yourself.

The thing I would add is that it takes time to refine scratches if you're planning this. For adding polish and refining swirls it will take you a couple of hours to do it right. Even more to refine real scratches. If like me you suffer any ailments (slipped disc for me) then it's hard work bending over and around a car for hours.

I picked up a DAS 6 polisher new around £140 and added polish pads and megs polish to it for a total around £180.

I wouldn't spend more unless you're planning on making money from it and then you'd be looking at rotary polishers with proper training too.
